Boat Market Heats Up With New Year

Even as temperatures plunged and many of our sounds and rivers froze over for days the boat market quickly began to heat up as we rang in 2018.

Our fall and early winter was predictably slow with most of us focused on the holidays. However, as I predicted, once Christmas came and went and the big acorn dropped in Raleigh the boat market came back to life. We saw a 225% increase in views on our YachtWorld listings in just the first week of 2018. That was accompanied by our first sale of the year when our 2007 Sea Pro 238 went under contract.

Our phone continues to ring and the email inquiries are filling up the inbox nicely. The market is certainly strong with both buyers and sellers active and ready to move. 2018 promises to be a great year as a strong economy and the promise of lower taxes in the Spring have people as optimistic as ever. We at CBYB expect to see that translate to a banner year in the boat market.
